DTCP Technology

Fully digital, loss-free signal transmission with DTCP

The latest digital audio transmission is now used in all audio systems with
discrete Logic 7® technology from Harman Kardon, Inc. Digital Transmission Content Protection (DTCP) means that even high-resolution signals can be transported and fully processed digitally and with copy protection en route from the sound media to the amplifier. This does away with the intermediate conversion from digital to analog signals required in the past. The result is loss-free transmission of modern multichannel formats. This means that multichannel sound recordings in DVD-Audio¹, DVD-Video² or DTS® CD formats can be transferred, without loss, to the Meridian Lossless Packing (MLP), MLP 5.1, DTS 5.1, Dolby® Digital 5.1 and PCM digital standards.
